Sweet Buffalo is teaming up with Buffalogo Co. to help 12-year-old Charlie who is battling osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.
Charlie already went through chemo, radiation, and surgery to remove a 7-inch tumor from his arm. In October of 2025, he proudly rang the bell at Roswell Park. Charlie’s hair began to grow back and he finally got to go back to school, a sense of normalcy he had been craving for so long.
Now sadly just a few months later Charlie had to undergo lung surgery after doctors found nodules in his lung. Three out of five nodules tested were determined to be osteosarcoma.
Charlie got his port put back in at Roswell Park and will go right to Golisano Children’s Hospital on the J12 floor to receive chemotherapy. He is also scheduled for a second lung surgery in the coming weeks to address the nodules on the other side of his lung.
