Prayers needed for NYS Trooper struck by vehicle while helping disabled motorist

New York State Police are asking for prayers for New York State Trooper Joseph Gallagher who was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle while assisting a disabled motorist on the on-ramp to the Sagtikos State Parkway on Monday.

Gallagher, 35, is assigned to Troop L, SP Brentwood, and has been a member of the State Police since 2014. He is a native of West Seneca.
